My time here in Asia is about to end, it saddens me down to the bone. But I tell myself that I'll return, I must, it's part of me now. Though, I'm an outsider here and will always be, I'm confortable with that, unlike my home country, Guatemala, where I'm treaded as an outsider even though I'm part of it. That aside, these 5 months have been an education to my photography, from the batu caves of Malaysia to the summit of Agung and into the temple scapes of Bagan and Angkor, I've been incredibly lucky to not just travel to these places but to be educated in photography in the most incredible places of the world.

I come from a small town though I'm blessed to have a family that loves me and wants me to get the full experience of life. I've also stopped drinking It will be 4 months on the 19th. I've finally found out what I'm actually interested in in photography, well just re-assured myself, I want to  show you that we are all human, fun and fearful. I learned to do HDR, which I though I would never do, in Bagan (worth it).

I also met loads of people that have inspired me! Got a DD from these travels (that made me insanely happy, points to KL for that one).

It is with a sense of mixed accomplishment that I'm leaving Asia, I still have a week here, but I'll be hustling and bustling from monday on.

So here the definite collection of the pictures I've liked so far (still have a week).

Beach glory at Perhentian Islands, Malaysia.

The tea hills of Cameron Highlands, Malaysia.

My mannequins, Depressed faces of mannequins.

Snake Shaman at Tanah Lot temple in Bali, Indonesia.

Sunrise at Agung, one of the last hangovers I had, Bali, Indonesia. 3 days after I quit alcohol.

Smoking room, Kuala Lumpur, LCC, as a heavy smoker these rooms have been a useful!

Death, Thailand:

The temples of Bagan:

Money shot, that's what he was saying, "money".

Angkor wat a childhood dream.

Colors and layers, Nan, Thailand:

This is my fast selection if you want to see the rest feel free to :+fav: them in my gallery. :giggle:

Indeed, but I need to concentrate my effort on making a permanent website (a good portfolio one) liking to a blog. But Latin America will be mostly Guatemala for the following 2-3 months. Need to secure enough funding for the rest of the continent. I'll try to get myself in touch with GEO and Traveler.

Yes, have to agree with you, so large and diverse. However, if you do drop by here, Brunei Darussalam, two days will do as it is such a small country :D

A great selection indeed for this journal!
Honestamente te envidio pero también te deseo que sigas así, creciendo y con buena actitud (y lejos del alcohol que tanto daño hace en nuestros países lationamericanos)

beautiful and so great to share all your experience with us here and keep up with exploring photography/life as you explain that.
I also want to go somewhere far away... I'm bored with european cities, culture... I'm coming, too, from small country. I want to meet real people - well, don't read this as I'm surrounded with unreal people (:giggle:), but to say people who live their whole life with spirit, one idea or many of them... it's so great when every shot have some story and you introduce us with those fragments of reality very well.
again, thank you for sharing this, because this is clue for other artists and explorers. :highfive:

Hey, you're already from Croatia take advantage of the nice cities and landscape there. ;)

Thank you so much, this was done quite in a haste, but the rest of the photos can be viewed on my devArt account. I really thank you for this comment, made me smile and grin in victory. :B

:salute:

I still need more balls to explore, but I'm learning.

My home country offers quite allot related to photography, so I might stick around Guatemala for a while and then move on the rest of Latin America, it's time to learn how to express my world to everyone else, plus there won't be a language barrier! (finally).
